Creativerse - Early Access R14 CODEX: A Guide to Quests and Badges
Creativerse is a sandbox adventure game that lets you explore, create, and share your own worlds. You can craft, mine, fight, build, and tame creatures in a vibrant and colorful world. Creativerse is currently in early access, which means it is still being developed and updated with new features and content.
One of the features that was added in early access R14 is the Codex, a quest journal that also houses QB, your cubic quest guide. QB will ask you to do all kinds of tasks possible in Creativerse and will reward you for completing them with useful equipment, consumables, crafting materials, treasure chests, and even coins for the store. The Codex has 52 quests for you to take on one after another (and sometimes even more than one that you can work on parallel). Up to 8 badges can be earned by fulfilling these quests that will then grant your player character permanent buffs on all game worlds. One of the badges can be selected to be displayed for other players to see next to your own player character's name.
In this article, we will give you a brief overview of how to access the Codex, how to start and complete quests, and what badges you can earn by doing so. We will also provide some tips and tricks to help you along the way.
How to access the Codex
You can either access your Codex - your Quest Window - by clicking \"x\" (as the default key) or by opening your inventory, map or crafting menu. There you can find a Tab called \"Codex\" that you can click on, right above the opened window to the right side of the Tab \"Map\". Even though the Codex book is also displayed on the main game screen to the left side of your quickbar together with QB, you cannot activate the Codex by clicking on its icon there with your mouse cursor unlocked. If your Codex icon on the game screen to the left of your quickbar says \"None\" (and then your quest tracker also displays \"Press None to complete quest and collect rewards!\" if you track quests and complete them), then you have obviously assigned the default key \"x\" to another action already, leaving the Quest Menu with no specific key assigned.
When you open the Codex, you will see a list of quests on the left side and a description of the selected quest on the right side. You can scroll through the list of quests with your mouse wheel or by clicking on the arrows at the bottom. You can also filter the quests by category: Rookie (the main quest line), Event (quests related to seasonal or special events), Adventure (quests related to exploring specific worlds created by other players), and Custom (quests created by yourself or other players using Creativerse Pro features).
You can select a quest by clicking on it and then click on \"Track Quest\" to display it on your game screen. You can track up to three quests at a time. You can also untrack a quest by clicking on it again and then click on \"Untrack Quest\". You can see your progress on each quest by looking at the green bar below it or by hovering over it with your mouse cursor.
How to start and complete quests
Most quests are started automatically when you meet certain conditions, such as reaching a certain level, crafting a certain item, or entering a certain biome. Some quests are started by talking to NPCs or interacting with objects in the world. You can see which quests are available for you by looking at their icons: a green check mark means you have completed the quest, a yellow exclamation mark means you have started the quest but not finished it yet, and a gray question mark means you have not started the quest yet.
To complete a quest, you have to fulfill its objectives, which are displayed on the right side of the Codex or on your game screen if you track the quest. The objectives can vary from collecting items, crafting items, placing blocks, killing creatures, taming creatures, exploring areas, finding secrets, and more. Some quests have multiple objectives that have to be completed in order or in any order. Some quests have optional objectives that give you extra rewards but are not required for completing the quest. aa16f39245
